The best thing is when the customer recognizes themselves in the mirror again.

Henrik's own experiences with hair loss were the start of a new direction in life. Today he runs Scalpkliniken in Gothenburg and helps others regain both identity and self-confidence.

When Henrik opened the doors to Scalpkliniken in Gothenburg on April 15, 2024, he knew he had taken a long-awaited and decisive step.

"I've loved it since day one," he says, and you can hear he means it.

The road to success began in front of the mirror, with slightly thinner hair that affected his self-confidence. Henrik wanted to find a solution for more fullness and browsed through various SMP accounts on Instagram. He booked a consultation at a clinic in Gothenburg, but when he left he felt further away from a solution than before. The chemistry wasn't right and the confidence that it would be a successful treatment wasn't there. Just then, Henrik received a phone call from Billy at Scalpkliniken in Eskilstuna. The conversation led to a meeting and soon Henrik was standing there with his own franchise clinic in Gothenburg and his first client.

- I've always wanted to open my own business, but I never knew what to do. Now I've found the perfect combination, being able to go to my own company and do something that I enjoy, while at the same time being able to make a difference. Sure, money is nice, but being able to do something for others is something that weighs more heavily on me, says Henrik.

As an award-winning clinic, Scalpkliniken is driven by helping everyone suffering from hair loss, regardless of budget. For many of Henrik's clients, results are about much more than appearance – they are about both self-confidence and identity.

"The best moments in my job are when the client stands in front of the mirror after the last treatments and sees their new hairline. The face gets a new frame, they get their confidence back and recognize themselves in the mirror again," says Henrik.

It’s those moments that keep clients coming back with flowers, it’s why they send their friends and it’s why Henrik loves his job. Many of his clients describe that they may have considered hair transplantation, but hesitated due to the price and the long recovery. SMP works differently. The result is created with micropigments placed 0.5 millimeters under the skin – a gentle, fast and predictable method.

Henrik makes sure that each client receives a treatment that suits their skin, hair and preferences. He takes time with each person and offers free adjustments if someone needs a touch-up.

- I usually say that we are not a production line at Volvo. I am very service-minded and it is not just about the end result, it is about the feeling you as a customer get when you come into my clinic and how you feel when you leave us.

And the customers often have strong stories. One of the most recent was a woman who underwent cancer treatment and lost a lot of her hair. The result was more than an aesthetic lift – it became a whole. More and more women are now coming to the clinic, says Henrik, often to hide thinning areas or create a feeling of fuller hair through micropigmentation.

Henrik's own background makes customers feel confident.

- I've stood there in front of the mirror myself and watched my hair thin out, it's not a fun feeling. I want every customer who comes through the door here to feel welcome and know that I'm 100 percent committed to getting them back what they lost.

Going forward, Henrik wants to continue spreading knowledge that there are affordable, gentle, and almost guaranteed alternatives to hair transplantation. And above all, he wants to show that no one should have to go around feeling bad about something that can be solved in just a month.

- I want people to know that it's not over and that there are easier and cheaper ways than hair transplantation, with almost guaranteed results and shorter healing time, says Henrik.
